Sandshade started because someone had to. In 2022, we watched Nigerian importers — people running real businesses, sourcing real goods from China — get beaten up by the banking system every single time they tried to pay a supplier. Transfers bounced. Rates were terrible. Timelines were anyone's guess. We saw a corridor that moved billions of dollars in trade every year, with almost no reliable financial infrastructure sitting behind it. So we built one.
Since then, we've processed over $300 million in payments from Nigeria to China. We settle directly in CNY — yuan, in the supplier's account — and we do it consistently, at rates that reflect the real market. Our clients aren't using us because we're the only option. They're using us because we've never let them down.
We're a small, focused team. We don't offer twenty corridors or a hundred currencies. We do one thing and we do it well: Nigeria to China. That's the corridor we understand, the relationships we've built, and the infrastructure we're still improving every day. If your supplier is in China, you've found the right people.
